3rd Annual JVC Northwest Benefit Dinner in Seattle

Date: May 17, 2008

Where: St. Bridget Church, 4900 NE 50th Street, Seattle, Washington 98105 view map

Time: Liturgy 5:00 p.m. Social 6:00 p.m.  Dinner 7:00 p.m.

Who: Former JVs, current JVs, friends, family and supporters

What: It’s that time of year again!  It’s time to gather our friends and JVC memories and head to Seattle for the 3rd Annual Benefit Dinner!  This much anticipated event promises to be a great way to connect with former JVs and friends of JVC Northwest, as well as to renew our commitment to the mission of JVC Northwest.

This year’s theme—Rooted in Justice, Growing in Peace—calls us to honor the many legacies of FJVs and to nourish hope for those who will serve in the future.  Join us for mass at St. Bridget’s before the social hour and gourmet dinner.  While dining, we will be inspired by keynote speaker, Fr. Gary Smith, SJ, most recent author of They Come Back Singing: Finding God with the Refugees, as he shares with us some of his most personally transforming life experiences.

We will also be raising critical funds for the continued vital work of JVC Northwest. This year it will cost approximately $10,000 to support the work of one JV with about $3,000 covered by the JV’s agency. This leaves JVC Northwest to raise $7,000 for each JV.

Please join us at this dynamic celebration and help to plant seeds for the continued growth of JVC Northwest!  We look forward to seeing you there!

First ever JVC Northwest Yakima benefit dinner

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

THANK YOU YAKIMA JV SUPPORTERS!

Thank you to all those who attended, volunteered at, and donated to the first ever Yakima Benefit Dinner!   It was a great success, and filled with laughter and connections between current and former Yakima JVs, community partners, JVC Northwest staff, and the many individuals who support and nourish the JVs in Yakima.   Joe O’Leary’s keynote address inspired the audience with his heartfelt recollection of his time in Yakima and how it has influenced his life and work paths.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this event possible.  We are looking forward to commemorating 25 years of having JVs in Yakima at next year’s dinner!
