Your credit card or checking/savings debit donation helps fund the work our Jesuit Volunteers do every day in the agencies they serve. Please click on the link below to be directed to the secure donation site of Vanco Services, our online donation vendor.
You can make a one-time gift or set up a recurring gift that is automatically charged to your credit card or debited from your checking or savings account on a monthly, quarterly or yearly basis on a date of your choice.

Companion Circle of Friends
Companions assist JVC Northwest in fulfilling its fourfold mission of spirituality, social justice, community and simple living by making annual gifts of $1,000 or more. There are five levels of Companion support:
- $10,000 supports a JV community of seven members for one year
- $7,500 provides four retreats for JVs in the lower 48 states
- $5,000 allows an area director to visit four Alaskan JV communities twice a year
- $2,500 assists with the recruitment, screening and placement of up to 10 JVs
- $1,000 contributes to the formation of one JV as a young adult leader.

Stock Donation
A donation of appreciated stock is a great way to support JVC Northwest and may provide significant tax savings for you. Please consult your tax professional to determine if this is a good option for you.
Your broker can assist you with the transfer of the stock from your account to JVC Northwest's account. Please have your broker advise our broker before delivery.

When making such transfers, please contact Diane Blankenship, our Business Coordinator, at (503) 335-8202 or dblankenship@jvcnorthwest.org with your name, contact information and the type of stock. Once we receive confirmation of your stock transfer, we will send a charitable deduction receipt to you for your tax records.

Planned Giving
You can strengthen our future by joining The Legacy Companions of JVC Northwest through a planned gift. Your gift will provide sustainability for the work we do in addressing the needs of those on the margins of our society and in addressing structurally entrenched poverty.
Ways in which you can leave a legacy include making a bequest in your will or naming us as a beneficiary in your 401k, IRA or life insurance policy.
Sample language that can be used in a will is:
"I hereby bequeath to Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest, located at 3928 N. Williams Ave., Portland, OR 97227, with a tax identification number of 23-7361814 or its successors the sum of $________ or ________% of my estate to be used as the organization deems appropriate."
This language can be part of the main body of your will or added as an amendment (codicil). Please consult your financial/tax advisor or attorney for additional information.

Sponsoring a JVC Northwest Event is a great opportunity to support our work and gain valuable recognition for your business or group. Our sponsorships start at $1,000.
In-Kind Donations
JVC Northwest can reuse your old, still-functional items that are cluttering your house, yard and garage. We also accept new items. You receive a tax deduction and we keep things out of the landfill that still have some life left in them. Each August, we have new communities of Jesuit Volunteers moving into their houses in which we sometimes need to replace worn out or broken appliances, dishes, linens, towels, furniture and so on. If you do have an item that you would like to donate to your locale JV community, please contact the JVC Northwest office at 503-335-8202 or info@jvcnorthwest.org. Please note that all donations need to be delivered to the JV community because there is usually not a method for transporting items otherwise.

Workplace Giving
Workplace Campaigns
Many companies have workplace campaigns each year allowing and encouraging you to donate to a non-profit of your choice through regular payroll deductions. The United Way may have a campaign at your company that will allow you to designate JVC Northwest as the recipient of your gift. Simply write in Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest along with our address, 3928 N. Williams Ave., Portland, OR 97227.
Corporate Matching Gifts
Your company may also provide corporate matching gifts, which double the impact of your gift to JVC Northwest. Some companies also make contributions based on volunteer hours you provide for JVC Northwest. If you're unsure of your company's policy, please ask if this is an option for you. You may need to send a form to us with your donation that we will complete and return to your employer.

Celebrate with JVC Northwest
Having a birthday party? Getting married? Celebrating a milestone event in your life? Instead of gifts, ask family and friends to make a donation to JVC Northwest in your honor! Doing some online shopping with Amazon, Travelocity, Macy's or a host of other stores? Log onto GoodShop first, designate JVC Northwest as your non-profit recipient, and continue shopping. All stores in GoodShop's network will donate a portion of your purchase proceeds to JVC Northwest. Check it out.

Are you running a marathon, bicycling a far distance, or challenging your children to think of fun ways to engage in volunteering and charitable giving? Log onto www.firstgiving.com and run your marathon for JVC Northwest, bicycle for a cause by challenging people to donate a dollar for every mile you ride, or encourage your children to read more while people pledge dollars to JVC Northwest in support of their efforts!
