Jesuit Volunteers serving in other places
Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC)
JVs serving outside the Pacific Northwest integrate the four values of JVC while working each day to address issues of poverty, homelessness, racism, addiction, abuse, unemployment and lack of housing and quality of education. The populations with whom JVs live and work are as diverse as the types of work they do. A wide variety of positions is available in most major metropolitan centers and smaller urban settings throughout the United States, as well as communities along the U.S.-Mexico border. Jesuit volunteers international (JVI)
Jesuit Volunteers International (JVI) offers volunteers the opportunity to live out the four values of community, simple living, social justice and spirituality in Africa, Central and South America, and the Pacific. Volunteers commit to remaining in the assigned country for two years when serving in JVI. With support from community members and an in-country coordinator, volunteers become fully immersed in the local communities where they serve. Please note that JVI applications must be postmarked by Feb. 1, and the placement process is completed by early April. Visit www.jesuitvolunteers.org/international to learn more.
