Annual Timeline
Jesuit Volunteers (JV) make a service commitment of one year with the option to renew the commitment in the same placement or in a different community for additional year(s). Service begins in early August and ends the following August. If you are thinking about applying to Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC) Northwest, we recommend spending time in the fall and early winter exploring all that the program has to offer and discern whether you are called to a year of service. During this time, we encourage you to contact the JVC Northwest office and speak with an area director or current JV about the program.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, with priority placement given to applications postmarked or received by March 3, 2008 . Applications are accepted through July. From March through July, applications are reviewed and JVC Northwest and placement agency staff interview applicants.
Typically, an applicant will know if she or he has been placed with an agency by mid- to late-March, depending on when JVC Northwest received the application.
